The story behind
Actually, this website began many years ago. During my studies to become a Digital Content Producer, I decided to move my old blog, blochershomestead.se, to a new platform and continue developing it.
Purpose
The purpose of this website is to provide guidance and in-depth knowledge to poultry keepers, whether you are a beginner or more experienced. Here, I want to bring together information that is practical and useful in everyday life, while also providing a deeper understanding of animals’ behaviour, needs, and health. The goal is to make poultry keeping safer, more sustainable, and easier to understand.
Content & Focus
I want to highlight topics that are rarely talked about, together with my own experiences from working with and caring for poultry in everyday life. This may include behaviour, flock dynamics, problems that arise in the chicken coop, as well as preventative care and natural approaches. The content is based on both practical experience and an interest in how these animals function biologically and socially, with the aim of providing a more realistic perspective than what you often find elsewhere.
